Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the MedStake Chisipite Clinic website, the on-site assistant, and consultations carried out over WhatsApp. By using these services you agree to these terms.
1. The service we provide
We provide remote consultations and, where clinically appropriate, prescriptions issued by practitioners registered with the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (MDPCZ). The on-site assistant helps you describe your symptoms and screens for danger signs; it does not diagnose or prescribe by itself. A registered clinician reviews each case before any prescription is issued.
2. Who can use the service
You must be 18 or older to request a prescription. People under 18 must have a parent or guardian involved. You agree to give accurate and complete information about yourself and your symptoms — prescribing safely depends on it.
3. What we will not prescribe online
To keep you safe, we do not prescribe controlled, addictive or high-risk medicines through this remote service, and we may decline any request where a remote consultation is not clinically appropriate. In those cases we will advise you to be seen in person.
4. Clinical judgement
Any consultation is subject to the clinician's professional judgement. The clinician may ask for more information, request an in-person visit or tests, or decline to prescribe. Issuing a prescription is never guaranteed.
5. Your responsibilities
- Give honest, accurate information about your health, symptoms and medicines.
- Read the information and safety advice we give you, and follow dosage instructions.
- Seek emergency or in-person care when advised, or if your symptoms worsen.
- Do not use the service on behalf of someone else without their knowledge and consent.
6. Fees
Consultation and prescription fees, and any pharmacy dispensing charges, will be made clear to you before you commit. You are responsible for paying agreed fees.
7. Privacy
We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy, in line with Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act (2021).
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for harm arising from inaccurate information you provide, from failing to follow clinical advice, or from using the service for an emergency instead of seeking emergency care. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms.
